This model can be used in the home and in the car, as it has two modes.

Car Mode: When the device detects the motion it automatically enters working mode. The device enters sleep mode when no vibration is detected for more than 40 seconds.

Home Mode: Device will run for a 6 hour cycle releasing mist regularly and will then go into standby mode for 6 hours, before repeating the cycle.
