Reddig-Glo Dye Chips are one of the easiest and most cost-effective candle dye systems on the market. Reddig-Glo chips work great in paraffin, palm, and soy waxes.
1 chip colours approx 1/2 kilo of wax, to achieve darker colour add more chips.
Each candle dye chip is formulated to perfectly colour 1 lb of paraffin wax. Simply add the dye chip to melted wax at a temperature of approximately 150 °F and stir in for a consistent colour every time. For soy or other natural waxes, you may need to use 2 or more chips to achieve a similar colour.

Chips dissolve very easily into the candle wax, however twice I've failed to produce black candles, the first pour I used the recommended amount (1 full chip for 500g of soy wax) and after getting blue/grey results. I tried two full chips in 500g of wax and it's only slightly darker. When molten, the colour is very dark black but I wonder how much dye actually needs to be added to achieve this colour when set.
