Sasol 6213 Container Wax

SASOLWAX 6213 Container Wax is a professional-grade mineral blend of highly refined paraffin wax and triglycerides (Vegetable wax), designed specifically for use in Glass & Container candles. Manufactured in Germany by market leader SASOLWAX, it has a low melting point of ~48C.

The benefits of SASOLWAX 6213 is the outstanding consistency, scent throw and long-term stability and has very good plasticity (adhesion to the container), however it is prone to shrinking, so it is not a one-our wax and you will need to top it off to give a perfect finish.

With its creamy smooth appearance,  ability to hold fragrance and  excellent burning properties, this container wax is one of the most widely used by professional candle manufacturers in Europe.

SASOLWAX 6213 container wax is delivered in 5kg slabs.

Add fragrance just before the wax reaches pouring temperature - see below

Melt Point: 48°C
Recommended Pour Temperature: 60-65°C
Max Fragrance: 7 – 8%

This wax needs a second pour, so we recommend just a small skim on top. Similar to other mineral waxes, 6213 Container Wax lacks strong glass adhesion, making it most suitable for use with opaque vessels.

Wicking:  SASOLWAX can work well with ECO 4 or ECO 6 in a 30cl Glass
